The science behind the match

Skills and culture — measured apart, stronger together.

Marcel matches with two deliberately separate instruments. KLIK measures how someone thinks. CFILytics® measures where someone fits. Only at the very end do they come together in one clear match score.

KLIK is currently under development — it is being calibrated with real players before it becomes a standard part of every flow. CFILytics® is already running in every flow today.

KLIK®Under development

How someone thinks — regardless of diplomas.

KLIK is a short, playful series of games that measures six cognitive skills. Not what someone knows, but how someone thinks and works. Objective and the same for everyone.

Diplomas and CVs say little about how someone performs on the job. KLIK looks at the real work: switching fast, staying focused, working accurately under pressure and deciding with incomplete information.

Because everyone plays the same games, the measurement is objective and fair — independent of language, education or background.

Status: KLIK is in development and is currently being calibrated with real players.

CFILytics®

Where someone fits — seven culture domains.

Culture is not "right or wrong". CFILytics® maps seven domains as a spectrum between two poles. Neither pole is better — a mismatch between candidate and team is the risk.

CFILytics® measures at Schein level 3: the underlying, often unspoken assumptions that determine how a team really works. That is where the real fit lives — or the real clash.

The model is deterministic: the same answers always give the same result. No black box, no chance. That makes it explainable and EU AI Act-compliant.

You place the team's culture profile next to the candidate's. If the markers sit far apart on a domain, that is a signal — not a verdict. Marcel shows it; the recruiter weighs it.

Deliberately separate — until the very end.

Skills and culture are two different questions. That is why Marcel measures them separately and keeps them separate. Only in the final score do they come together, so you always see where a match comes from.

How it works in practice

From benchmark to match percentage.

A match is always measured against a reference point. That is why Marcel starts with a benchmark: the profile of a team that is already performing well. Every applicant is measured against it.

1

Build your benchmark — anonymously

Invite the top performers of a team or department to complete KLIK and CFILytics®. Fully anonymous, so you get the most honest answers. Marcel aggregates their scores into one benchmark: how does a team that performs well think and work?

2

Candidate completes both tests

Every applicant goes through the same short, playful track: KLIK for cognitive skills (currently in development), CFILytics® for culture. The same for everyone.

3

Marcel calculates the distance to the benchmark

CFILytics®: the smaller the distance to the team's culture profile, the higher the match percentage.
KLIK: the benchmark sets a threshold per cognitive axis — ideally, the candidate stays above it.

4

You see one clear match percentage

Every candidate appears in your dashboard with a clear match percentage. Marcel shows; the recruiter decides.

The foundation

Scientifically grounded.

CFILytics® is built on established organisational psychology and its evidence base keeps growing — an ongoing programme, together with Sapience (a spin-off of the VUB).

Deterministic & explainable

No black box. The same input gives the same result — verifiable and EU AI Act-compliant.

Grounded, not "validated"

We make no claim of statistical validation. CFILytics® is scientifically grounded; validation is an ongoing programme.
